Introduction to Rigid Heddle Loom Weaving
Rigid heddle looms provide the perfect introduction to learning to weave. You will learn how to warp a loom and weave a simple project. Perfect for those odd skeins and "weftovers" from other projects.
In this class you will learn two methods for warping a rigid heddle loom, learn the best sett for different yarn types, get plenty of practice weaving, and learn about finishing a woven project. Advanced topics that may be covered include incorporating a second heddle for fancier weaves, and using a pick-up stick to create textured weaves.
This two-day class is held on two consecutive Saturdays. In 2025, classes will be held Feb 22/23, June 21/22, August 23/24, and October 18/19.
