Introduction to Tapestry Weaving Tapestry is an artistic form of expression in weaving consisting of hand-manipulated shapes woven on a simple loom. You will learn the techniques used to weave shapes that form geometric or pictorial designs.
In 2025 the two-day class will be held March 22/29, and October 18/25.
Students may bring their own loom or rent a loom from the guild or the instructor. Frame looms, such as the Mirrix loom, are preferable, but rigid heddle and table looms will also work. Looms will be warped on the first day of class. Warp and weft yarns will be provided by the instructor.
Fees are as follows: Class tuition: $175- includes use of Guild equipment while in class Materials fee: $10 payable to instructor at first class

Class cancellation/refunds: Class cancellation by the guild will result in refunds to all students. No refunds will be made to students canceling either prior to or after start of classes. Students may find a substitute and make payment arrangements among themselves. The guild will provide no direct refunds in this case. Optional Equipment Rental: You may opt to rent a loom from the guild. Equipment rental is available only to guild members. The rental fee is $20 per month. You may extend the rental on a monthly basis for as long as you wish. A security deposit of $300 by check, cash, or PayPal is required. Deposit will be refunded when equipment is returned undamaged.
