Beginning Spinning
This beginning spinning class will teach you the basics of creating your own yarn from natural fibers. Working on a spinning wheel, you will learn how to draw out the fiber and twist it together to form yarn.
The class is held on two Saturdays, 5 hours per day.
These classes fill fast. Start planning now. In 2025, classes will be held January 11 and 18, March 8 and 15, May 10 and 17.

Time: 10 am- 4 pm
Location: Blatchford's San Diego Rug Cleaning Company, 7848 Silverton Ave., Suite G, San Diego
Fees are as follows:
Class tuition: $175-includes use of Guild equipment while in class
Materials fee: $25 payable by check or cash to instructor at first class
Optional equipment rental: $35/month (requires guild membership and security deposit)
Class cancellation/refunds:
Class cancellation by the guild will result in refunds to all students. No refunds will be made to students canceling either prior to or after start of classes. Students may find a substitute and make payment arrangements among themselves. The guild will provide no direct refunds in this case.
Students may bring their own equipment or rent equipment from the guild. Required equipment includes a spinning wheel and a carder.
Equipment rental is available only to guild members. The rental fee is $35 per month. You may extend the rental on a monthly basis for as long as you wish. A security deposit of $750 by check, cash, or PayPal is required. Deposit will be refunded when equipment is returned undamaged.
